Find about 300 images for use with Greenfoot. All images are Public Domain and may be used freely. Source is pixabay.com

All images are intended to used with Actor-classes are cropped to transparent background. Images that start with “bg-…” can be used as background-images.

The images are sorted to topics: - animals - backgrounds - christmas - clouds-sun-weather - dinoworld - disco - farm - fruits-vegetables - halloween - knights-dragons-magic - space - sweets

It’s crucial that the students know how to scale the images in the constructor, as most of them might be too big (I have cropped them all to ~300px width). As an alternative the files themselves could be manipulated (e.g. with photopea.com). Please note that scaling images with the GreenfootImage.scale(…)-method will always lead to ugly images, as the borders of the images get pixelated and too crisp. If you want to have real beautiful esthetics you have to resize the images manually as described above and don’t scale with Greenfoot.
